Antique French pure linen chemise which I have hand dyed a pale buttery yellow.

It is a charming traditional hand made piece with lovely decoration - and all, of course, hand stitched.

A short sleeved dress with beautiful scalloped edging to the neck and sleeves. The neck has a drawstring which I have shown lightly gathered and below this is a monogram of the letters DB.

Wear it on a hot summer's day and you'll be so comfortable.

Freshly laundered and ready for use. No damage, no wear, just a beautiful antique French textile, waiting to shine. The colour is softly mottled which is often the case when dyeing antique pieces. It is very faint and not patchy or unpleasant in any way - in fact it's pretty gorgeous!

Approximate measurements taken flat:

Width under arms: 56 cm (22 inches)

Length from shoulder to hem: 107 cm (42 inches)

Armhole at shoulder: 20 cm (8 inches)

Width across shoulders when lightly gathered: 44 cm (17 inches)

  • H: 107cm (42.13in)
  • W: 56cm (22.05in)
