This is such gorgeous home spun, characterful 19th century French hemp which was woven on a narrow one man loom, probably 120 plus years ago. I was slightly nervous lowering it into my dye vat but I really felt the colour would make the fabric come to life and it has, the result was even better than I'd hoped.

19th century French twill weave hemp tablecloth with simple hand turned hems. Hand stitched central monogram of the letters MC worked in red cross stitch and still just visible against the soft russety colour of the hemp. Actual shade is warmer than the photos show, it's not as cold/pink as my monitor is showing. UK postage £5.

Freshly laundered, ironed and ready to grace your table. No damage or wear.
