Charming French monogrammed linen sheet

Good medium weight white French linen metis sheet dating to around 1900. Ladderwork return hem and traditional centre seam with a large monogram of the letters GD set to one side. All worked by hand, of course; it's a charming piece. Please add £5 for UK postage.

This sheet would make a very attractive curtain, is certainly sturdy enough to use for upholstery and is soft and comfortable to use as a sheet. Strength from the linen and softness from the cotton. French metis always fits the bill! A nice character to the weave with little slubs.

A used vintage piece but in excellent condition with no thinning or damage. A few little marks which are on the underside.

Approximate weight: 1400 grams
