French vintage linen metis sheet with simple drawn thread return hem. Nice character to the weave with little flecks which make it attractive and interesting, but it's still beautifully soft and pliable and will make comfortable bedding. Great for curtains or blinds or for upholstery, loose covers or a tablecloth etc.

Metis is similar to a linen union and is a linen weft and cotton warp, it has been prized for generations in France for its quality and longevity. This sheet is a pale creamy oatmeal colour. No damage, no wear, it seems unused. No marks to mention. It has obviously come from a professional laundry although they've not made the best job of pressing it. Most of the sheet is beautifully smooth but some of the sides and bottom have pressed in creases - but of course they'll come out when it is washed. Please add £5 for UK postage.

I've recently been making sheets like this into fitted sheets - please contact me if you would like one made from this piece.
