This is a lovely French pure linen damask tablecloth dating to the late 1800s/early 1900s. Simple geometric damask patterns and simple hand turned hems.

Hand dyed by me a russety/terracotta red; warmer than my computer is showing (on my screen it looks a dark raspberry colour). There are some areas of darker dots, as you can see; this does sometimes happen when dyeing old pieces - it is not very noticeable and is of course reflected in the price. Dine by candlelight and you won't notice them at all!! One little hand stitched darn which is charming. No other damage.

I have a set of napkins listed which are dyed the same colour if you want to make up a set.

Freshly laundered and ready for use.

Approximate weight: 700 grams
