Simple French linen sheet with decorative hem

This is a nice piece of textile history. It's a 19th century French linen sheet, smoothed from laundering but in really good condition with no wear or thinning. And the twist? I guess at some point it was handed down to the next generation of the family who didn't have the letters MM which you can just see have been removed!

Fabulous hand worked decorative ladder hem. All those little stitches - such a labour of love! This is a textile with stories to tell, I'm sure. UK postage £5.

Freshly laundered and ready for use. Possibly a couple of tiny light dot marks but basically lovely and clean and waiting to be used. No unattended damage, no thinning. Some sections of the centre seam have been repaired and a couple of little sections need to be stitched back together. One darn in the middle as shown.

Approx net weight: 1.8 kg
