Sturdy French linen upholstery fabric

This is a huge piece of unused early 20th century French linen metis sheeting fabric. But you certainly wouldn't want to sleep under it! It is very sturdy, strong fabric that will be great for upholstery and is certainly not scratchy but I don't think I'd want it on a bed. UK postage £7.

Sturdy, strong linen metis that won't disappoint, it is good and robust. A little stiff and starchy at the moment but once soaked and laundered it will be soft and characterful. One end has been hemmed but the other is raw.

Linen metis is similar to a linen union and is usually a linen weft and cotton warp. Tightly woven with a slubby weave; lots of interest. Colour is a pale creamy stone.

Generally well stored with few marks for a sheet that is around 100 years old. Just a few little grubby marks on the outside and a very few pale storage marks. All will be dealt with as the sheet is soaked and laundered before use.
