Sturdy unused French linen metis sheet

Traditional French linen metis sheet with with the well known "fleur bleue" quality mark stamped along the selvedge. The fabric was woven on a narrow 19th century loom and the sheet has been created by joining two lengths with a hand stitched centre seam. The simple hems are also hand stitched. UK postage £6.00.

The fabric is a medium to heavy weight with some give so it would make a good curtain or blind; excellent for upholstery or loose covers too. But perhaps a little sturdy for a sheet!

The colour of this sheet is a pale creamy sand which will lighten a little as it is laundered.

In excellent condition with no damage, thinning or wear - unused and yet to be laundered. Some storage marks on the outside folds, as to be expected. These will be dealt with as the fabric is soaked and laundered before use.

Approximate weight per sheet: 1750 grams

  • H: 280cm (110.24in)
  • W: 222cm (87.40in)
