Unused French hemp sheet

AMANDA LEADER
This was a good find, it has never been used and never laundered and is a wonderful early piece. I think it is a quite finely woven pure hemp rather than a heavy linen; it's often very difficult to be sure. Whichever it is, this is a cool piece of French textile history. (Please add £5 for UK postage or contact me for international shipping options.)

Early 20th century French hemp or heavy linen sheet, entirely hand stitched with central monogram of the letters LL and a ladderwork return hem. The fabric is stiff and starchy at the moment but once it has been soaked and laundered it is going to be gorgeous - soft and with drape and so much character. They really don't make them like this any more!

Unused fabric that has never been laundered. Sadly there are dark lines of storage marks on the outside folds and the sheet is priced accordingly. These will always eventually wash out but it will take quite a bit of time an effort before they're completely gone. Colour is a rich sand which will lighten a lot as the sheet is laundered.
