Unused XL French linen sheet

Simple drawn thread hem, machine stitched - a nice little piece of French textile history. UK postage £5.

Strong, sturdy fabric but not too thick and with some give and drape to it. It will make comfortable bedding once it has been soaked and laundered to soften the fibres. And it will be great for interiors projects; upholstery, loose covers, curtains etc. Colour is an attractive pale creamy beige which will lighten a little as it is laundered.

This is the very popular linen metis which is a linen weft and cotton warp. It has been favoured by French housewives for years and would have been expensive when new.

This sheet has never been laundered. It is in excellent condition with no damage and has been well stored with just a few light storage marks on the outside fold lines.

Approximate weight: 1750 grams
