A 19th century, French copper saucepan and cover. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. Both the lid and the side of the pan are marked with a number ’22’ which relates to the diameter of the saucepan in centimetres. The handles are steel and they are one of the typical French shapes of handle, with the lid sitting into the pan. There is a very tiny dent in the lid but otherwise both the pan and lid are in very good condition. The interior has been re-tinned so that it can be used.
The pan measures 22.2cm. diameter by 11cm. high and the overall length, including the handle, is 46cm.
