A nineteenth century, English copper pie mould. This is a circular, three part, hinged form with fluted sides. It is stamped with a number ‘5’ and it dates from c.1880. It is quite large, making it a good, usable size for a family, and would probably turn out 6 to 8 portions. The hinged sides are held together by an original, steel pin and the mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper. It is in excellent condition and the tinning, although quite dark, is still in usable condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 19.2cm. Height 9.4cm.
