A unique group of early carved fragments, some are as early as 17th century, with evidence of gesso paintwork and gilt application. Carved dentil frieze sections, acanthus leaves, rosette, Baroque and rococo flowing shapes. All are parts of larger components, suitable for wall displays, hallways, bathrooms and interior design projects. Sold as a collection. They are dusty, sometimes chipped and gold is patchy to reveal ancient pinewood. There provenance is from saved from an earthquake damaged church in Southern France. It is quite possible some pieces are 16th Century.

I am an artist, sculptor, collector and restorer.  I have always been inspired and influenced by my love of the old. Since collecting tins, postcards, early textiles and gadgets as a teenager I have surrounded myself with “stuff”. I started trading in the 1970s from my architectural effects shop Leaded Lights and design shop Gothic in Greenwich. My stock reflects my enjoyment of the antique and the peculiar, from early Medieval to Victorian to Art Deco and industrial design.

I endeavour to hunt out the unusual - richly patinated wood, faded sun-drenched   paintwork and gently burnished ironwork.

We are based in a Victorian Gothic building in Somerset, only 15 minutes from the M5.
