Set of 8 Sir Norman Foster for Thonet A901PF Black Leather Chairs. We have a set of eight of these chairs designed by Sir Norman Foster in a collaboration with Thonet. Goes without saying the chairs are not only great looking but the build quality is second to none being Thonet. A little note from a publicity catalogue about the A901PF – How would you define todays ideal chair? Through its function within the room, the demands of its users and the visions of its designers. In the A900 programme THE ARCHITECT Norman Foster and Thonet have given shape to their ideas on good seating. Design follows function and construction of the seat and the backrest elements is floating. The chairs are of course comfortable and as such would be good at home or commercially around a table.

Condition wise they are good. The frames are lightly marked but firm. The black leather is supple and of a superior quality. There are light lines to the seat from the chairs having been stacked however the lines run the right way, are there, but not off putting. They smell fine and are reassuringly weighty.
A future classic no doubt and very usable.

The price is for the set of 8

Billy Hunt is an independent partnership based in a wonderful Victorian Farming Buiding once used to stable Dray Horses for Bass Brewery and with the assistance of technology, enjoys serving customers nationally and internationally. The collaboration of successful Interior Designer Martina Reitbauer and Ardent Gatherer Wayne Lawless brings to you an exciting and ever evolving selection of items for your home which do not have the constraints of a particular era, no onus on any particular style or a brand agenda to respect.

We choose to source across the UK believing that the British Isles offers a splendid mix of fine quality, true eccentricity, creative design and exceptional craftsmanship which very few can equal.

We take pleasure in gathering pieces from country houses, time-worn factories and auctions travelling extensively to seek out the appealing. You will notice when viewing our collection, we are not afraid to evolve furniture, recognise the need to modernise but are also content to leave “as found” aiming to create a piece or pieces that are beautiful, distinctive and a delight to live with.

Our wish is to show you some wonderful items that you would love to own and offer a service which is personal, professional, considerate and a pleasurable experience. You are able to view our stock in person by appointment, just contact us to arrange a convenient time here.
