Tremendous Vintage Industrial 12 Drawer Desk C1910

A rare piece of vintage industrial furniture from a recent visit up North and surviving in truly wonderful original condition. Very happy to have found this one with its lesser seen drawer configuration and untouched or un-messed with state. This one would easily fit into home or commercial space.

From the early part of the 20th Century from a workshop, it's fortunate that this one was not moved, reconfigurated or readapted like so many have. We have genuine wear to all areas with the original cup handles remaining. As mentioned we have two flights of 5 drawers either side of a set of two longer central drawers. This one could sit in a room as the back is good too…

Workshop report – This one is very original, we have given the drawers a clean, and all are running as they should. Likewise the frame. The original cup handles are all in place and unpolished (they would polish up, but it’s not really how we do things) and any historic woodworm has been treated purely as a precaution. The top does have genuine wear and we have wear to the bases on all sides. It sits firm with no wobbles or sways. Ready to place and enjoy.

Our best desk find this year so far and rather marvellous!

Billy Hunt is an independent partnership based in a wonderful Victorian Farming Buiding once used to stable Dray Horses for Bass Brewery and with the assistance of technology, enjoys serving customers nationally and internationally. The collaboration of successful Interior Designer Martina Reitbauer and Ardent Gatherer Wayne Lawless brings to you an exciting and ever evolving selection of items for your home which do not have the constraints of a particular era, no onus on any particular style or a brand agenda to respect.

We choose to source across the UK believing that the British Isles offers a splendid mix of fine quality, true eccentricity, creative design and exceptional craftsmanship which very few can equal.

We take pleasure in gathering pieces from country houses, time-worn factories and auctions travelling extensively to seek out the appealing. You will notice when viewing our collection, we are not afraid to evolve furniture, recognise the need to modernise but are also content to leave “as found” aiming to create a piece or pieces that are beautiful, distinctive and a delight to live with.

Our wish is to show you some wonderful items that you would love to own and offer a service which is personal, professional, considerate and a pleasurable experience. You are able to view our stock in person by appointment, just contact us to arrange a convenient time here.
