Item Description
This lovely old original green painted Station Masters desk was a great find! We believe the desk originally came from Tavistock Railway Station as the underside of the desk lid has various hand written inscriptions dating back to 1908 to support this.
The two drawers are dovetail jointed with lovely conker brown drawer knobs. Fabulous time aged/worn patina. It would also make the perfect hall table.
If you are planning on using this piece as a desk you would need either a tall stool or height adjustable chair.
Overall Dimensions (approx.):- Height (including galleried back): 98cm (38.5 inches) Width: 111.5cm (43.75 inches) Depth: 66cm (26 inches)
Please see photographs as they do also form part of the description.
Although all of our antique/vintage pieces of furniture have a sense of beauty and style there may be the odd age-related mark here and there but these in no way detract from each piece's character, beauty and stylish appeal. Any evidence of historical woodworm is always re-treated as an extra precautionary measure. N.B. The accessories in the photographs are for display purposes only and are not included in the sale.
