Victorian and handmade specifically for a Selkirk woolen mill, these were used for storing and transporting worsted wool.
Forest Mill was built by George Roberts & Co. and the current mill building (still a weaving mill under the name of Andrew Elliot) was used as the wool store and dyeing house.
