This early 20th Century French Thermometer was given away to important brasseries and bistros in France to advertise "Chocolat Revillon", a company supplying chocolate for hot drinks, which were as popular as coffee is today. Made of Enamel to be weather proof it has a number of very interesting features of showing different temperatures to be found in various regions of France. It also for example indicates when bees swarm or wine freezes! Its delicate nature means that very few manged to survive.

Roger Lascelles has spent the past 35 years building a collection of vintage and antique clocks that is second to none.

He maintains a collection of over 500 clocks, ranging from antique longcase clocks to large external turret clock dials, from Bakelite mantel clocks to charming old French Bistro clocks.

Roger frequents antique markets and auction houses at home and abroad. With the help of a small team of skilled craftsmen, he enjoys restoring and reviving clocks that have seen better days to give them back their original charm and character.

He welcomes visitors by appointment to his 4,500 sq ft showroom and workshop in Wandsworth, South West London.
