Ato was the brand name of a very inventive clock firm established in the 1920s by Monsieur Hatot. They were pioneers in electric clocks and this clock uses one of the first transistor quartz movements running independently on its own battery rather than being powered from the mains. It is an Industrial or office clock with very clear graphics and with a pair of very stylish hands. Should be a collector's item.

Roger Lascelles has spent the past 35 years building a collection of vintage and antique clocks that is second to none.

He maintains a collection of over 500 clocks, ranging from antique longcase clocks to large external turret clock dials, from Bakelite mantel clocks to charming old French Bistro clocks.

Roger frequents antique markets and auction houses at home and abroad. With the help of a small team of skilled craftsmen, he enjoys restoring and reviving clocks that have seen better days to give them back their original charm and character.

He welcomes visitors by appointment to his 4,500 sq ft showroom and workshop in Wandsworth, South West London.
