I have always looked out for French clock hands that were used on large turret clocks that appeared on many public buildings in France. They are usually more decorative than English turret clock hands and this pair has a "fleur de lys" motif. They were guilded to withstand the weather and made of iron. We have fitted a brass hanging bracket, so that they can be wall displayed. These are probably late 19th Century or possibly earlier.
