Probably the nicest clock I have had for a number of years. This is a late 19th century French Turret Clock Dial and what makes it of interest are the separate enamel Cartouche Roman Numerals set into the zinc metal frame. These dials tended to be on important buildings and because they were enamel could easily be damaged. Turret Clocks were laterly made of flat iron dials which were then painted with numbers. That's why this dial is rare. We have made period style hands and fitted them to a heavy duty quartz movement so the clock will keep perfect timing. They are often very expensive on major websites and I've priced this so that it is affordable.

Roger Lascelles has spent the past 35 years building a collection of vintage and antique clocks that is second to none.

He maintains a collection of over 500 clocks, ranging from antique longcase clocks to large external turret clock dials, from Bakelite mantel clocks to charming old French Bistro clocks.

Roger frequents antique markets and auction houses at home and abroad. With the help of a small team of skilled craftsmen, he enjoys restoring and reviving clocks that have seen better days to give them back their original charm and character.

He welcomes visitors by appointment to his 4,500 sq ft showroom and workshop in Wandsworth, South West London.
