A beautifully aged old French turret clock dial most probably from the late 19th Century that would have told the time for a local community in some part of France. The raised Roman numerals and the off-white/sepia background give this clock its dramatic appeal. The added feature is that we have managed to make it work again, not with its massive brass and iron movement, long since departed, but by adapting a heavy duty modern quartz movement to work with replica antique style hands we have made. The result is a clock that works perfectly and is not just a stunning wall decoration.

Roger Lascelles has spent the past 35 years building a collection of vintage and antique clocks that is second to none.

He maintains a collection of over 500 clocks, ranging from antique longcase clocks to large external turret clock dials, from Bakelite mantel clocks to charming old French Bistro clocks.

Roger frequents antique markets and auction houses at home and abroad. With the help of a small team of skilled craftsmen, he enjoys restoring and reviving clocks that have seen better days to give them back their original charm and character.

He welcomes visitors by appointment to his 4,500 sq ft showroom and workshop in Wandsworth, South West London.
