- Description
A most impressive old French clock face from some old public building or factory. These painted dials became popular from the 1920's and were regularly repainted as they became weathered. This one has bold black Arabic numerals that contrast well with the distressed red of the centre. We have made antique style hands and adapted them to work with a heavy duty quartz movement, so that the clock now works again without the heavy metal mechanics of old. As far as we know, nobody else has been able to make these conversions to quartz on such large clocks. It is now a very eye catching functional wall decoration.

Roger frequents antique markets and auction houses at home and abroad. With the help of a small team of skilled craftsmen, he enjoys restoring and reviving clocks that have seen better days to give them back their original charm and character.
He welcomes visitors by appointment to his 4,500 sq ft showroom and workshop in Wandsworth, South West London.
