Here is a charming French advertising clock that would have adorned the walls of many bars and bistros throughout France from the 1920's onwards. They were given to outlets that stocked St Raphael tonic water. The brand gave away a number of items like ashtrays and glasses for example, but clocks were the most prestigious gift they gave. They had mechanical movements, which sadly after nearly 100 years are unserviceable and we have managed to keep the original distinctive hands and fit them to a modern quartz movement for perfect timing. I have been a collector of French tin clocks for many years and this particular one has become very rare.
