A Superb Liberty’s Of London Oak Book Table. Made from oak, with a two tiered book stand, lattice work sides, standing on turned legs. C1900

This book table designed by Leonard Wyburd an interior decorator and furniture designer who work for Liberty’s of London during the late 19th/early 20th century. He was the head of Liberty’s furnishing and decoration studio from 1883 until 1903 and is considered to be an important part of the Arts & Crafts movement. This bookcase is typical of his design style and the construction methods used during the Arts & Crafts period.

A lovely piece of quality furniture and of good proportions, still remains in original condition.
