Antique Kendrick & Co Cast Iron Boot Scraper. This is a compact antique boot scraper, made from cast iron made by A Kenrick & Co, still retaining the original paint and have great patina. C1800.
The Kenrick’s iron foundry was first established in 1791 by Archibald Kenrick (1760 – 1835). The site bordering the Birmingham canal is still the Kenrick’s headquarters today. The firm became Archibald Kenrick & Son in 1827 and Archibald Kenrick & Sons in 1883.
This boot scrape would look great outside any front door.
