Eight 'Label Under Glass' (LUG) apothecary jars sourced from a local chemists in York, with original gilded glass labels and remnants of original contents. The 'Label Under Glass' technique was invented in the mid 19th Century to allow for elaborate and decorative labelling to be protected by a thin glass casing. Given age and regular use by Edwardian chemists, they have some age-related wear but no chips or cracks to the bottles.

Size: 20.5cm/8in

Priced as a set, however would be prepared to sell individually.

Corvus Antiques is a family-run business, with a passion for finding unique and eccentric items for our homes. Inspired by our magpie-like family culture of hunting for beautiful objects, Corvus is latin for a genus of birds, including crows, ravens and jackdaws and originally magpies too. We are obsessed with finding gems for our homes and we want to share this passion with our customers. We have created a curious selection of antiques and unique pieces for our fellow antiques obsessed collectors.
