A very rare early 20thC cream jug, made of white ironstone pottery and fully decorated with under-glaze blue transfer willow pattern, along with bold black 'Cream' lettering on both sides of the shoulder.

Circa 1910, it was produced as part of the Cetem Ware range by Newcastle on Tyne based Maling, Cetem being a phonetic abbreviation of CT Maling and sons. The foot is marked with the blue sunburst castle transfer, first registered in 1908 and used until the 1930's, along with the pattern 'Willows' in black transfer and the less commonly seen London address - 309 Grays Inn Road, London.

4-1/2" Belly diameter
6-1/2" Tall to spout
6-3/4"" Spout to back of handle

Perfect original condition with no damage or restoration. Some very light glaze crazing in spots, wear to the foot and a tiny manufacturing mark in the spout, but very clean with no discernible staining.
