A stylish mid-century portrait of a woman by Czech artist, Albert Ferenz (1907-1994). We love the way that the hands are just sketched in with a few clever marks.

Ferenz studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and won several awards throughout his career. In 1952, a year before this was created, he moved to Munich where he founded an artist’s association.

The portrait is housed within its original frame signed/dated in the upper left.

Medium: Oil on canvas
Overall size: 24” x 29½” / 61cm x 75cm
Year of creation: 1950
Condition: Canvas in good shape. Frame with light age-related wear.

Dimensions:

  • H: 75cm (29.53in)
  • W: 61cm (24.02in)
  • D: 2cm (0.79in)
