One summer 18 years ago, Stuart Atkinson and Kiel Shaw set off in their Fiat Punto on an adventure to France with two hundred pounds worth of Francs in their pockets.  They spent the lot at their first street ‘brocante’ in Pas de Calais.

Since then, they have visited and bought from hundreds of different brocantes, antiques markets and auctions all over France, developing their knowledge of French decorative antiques.   There are no bounds to the things they might buy, anything diverse and unique catches their eye, from naive 18^th Century through to contemporary 20^th Century.       

Fontaine Decorative are opening a new and exciting space at Unit 26, Pysons Road Industrial Estate, Broadstairs, Kent in the Spring of 2015, having now closed their previous showrooms in Margate.  Further details will be posted on their website and on the DC when available. In the meantime they are still open for business and items can be viewed by appointment.
