This piece is very unusual, it is an oak armoire or cupboard that dates from 1645.
It has English and French influences with the wonderful quality of the carving.
It has the original lock but no key.
It was probably commissioned by a wealthy landowner and made by a Flemish craftsman in this country.
We can fit shelves or a blacksmith made hanging rail and the price will include delivery and assembly on site
dependent on location.
It is so versatile and could work in any room including the possibility of an amazing larder cupboard.
The sizes are from the maximum edges including the cornice.

French Loft, the name given to the interior design, furniture and home goods business, is based in an old brewery building, in a quiet street a stones throw from Arundels medieval castle. The chosen objects which fill the warehouse are a personification of Rowland’s taste - the giant industrial factory lights, the mid-century modern chairs and the faded French 19 century armoires. Rowland does things in a fantastically unsnobbish way and his approach to design is very level headed. It`s never about the latest thing, but where beauty and utility are intrinsic to objects you like to see, touch and use everyday.

The Loft is open 10am-4pm Wednesday to Sunday, or by appointment.
