A fine pierced brass letter stand with integral inkwell, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. It was made in Germany and is in the Jugendstil or Art Nouveau style. It has three hinged dividers to hold letters, the middle one with a sprung mechanism. Each divider is decorated with a pierced design. At the front is an inkwell with hinged lid decorated with incised decoration. The underside is impressed "DRGM 237670 Ges. Gesch" - this is a registered design mark applied during the German Reich.

Welcome to Ginger Tom's Curious Eclectic.  We are a husband and wife team, both with a lifelong interest in antiques. Our business stems from the usual collector turned dealer scenario.  As our own collections grew, it became obvious we needed to redistribute some items in order to make space to buy new treasures to feed our own habit.

Buying to sell seemed the natural progression from this. We have been involved in buying and selling since 2004, but have only recently taken the decision to establish an online presence. We don't specialise in any particular area, but our interests do influence our stock purchases to a degree.

Our stock includes a varied mix of unusual antique, interesting vintage and stylish contemporary objects that would suit many different settings. Our key criteria is that we only buy, and therefore only sell, items that we would have in our own home and believe that if we like something, others will too.

Our opening hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
