I started collecting antiques over 40 years ago, bunking school to go to Leicester antiques market on a Thursday lunchtime. My first passion was with small engraved Edwardian glasses which I could pick up for 5-15p each.   

40 years later and having spent 30 years teaching design and then another 4 years in my vintage tea rooms, all the while collecting all sorts of vintage and antique pieces, I decided I would start to sell some of the beautiful items I as picking up. 

I visit France several times a year and love to bring back quirky furniture, kitchenalia or a beautiful weathered confit pot. However, when travel is limited, I scour the UK for those unusual items. If there is a particular item, I can help you find in France, then don’t hesitate to ask. 

I trade from a wonderful antiques emporium near Faversham called Wildwinds which has over 20 dealers and often appears on ‘Antiques Road Trip’. Items can be viewed there or from my home in South East London. Although I don’t have a website, I use Instagram regularly and have a Facebook page. 

You can often find me at Detling antiques fair, weather permitting, where I love to talk to my customers helping them find the perfect piece.
