A beautiful alter table made from solid pitch pine, nice colour and form. Anglo gothic form with arched end panels typical of a Lancet window design with trefoil motifs above.
Lower shelf stretcher with cascading feet.
This piece dates to circa 1860, it has good proportions with plenty of character to the wood. A wonderful console or side table.
In excellent condition, there is a small historic split in one of the side panels (as pictured) but this is not structural, the item is solid and as with all church pieces, these were made by the very best craftsmen and built to last.
