Made from Teak wood this Indian table was originally used as a base and stand for the household grinding stone called a Chakki. Used for grinding grains and herbs; it is robust and sturdy with a detailed hand carved design and studded metal strapping on the outside edge. Hippy chic or country house, it makes an excellent coffee table. We have added a toughened glass disc that fills the surface area, making it perfect for cups, glasses or candles.

It's fair to say that at Grovetrader we have an eclectic mix of decorative, antique and vintage items including cast aluminium hat blocks, African wood carvings, lighting, ceramics and much more.

We source our wares on regular trips to France.  This gives us the opportunity to combine two things we love doing most, scouring antique shops and brocantes for lost treasures, whilst enjoying the beautiful Burgundy countryside and villages.
