A set of 5 large antique opal / opaline handblown glass oil lamp shades now hanging as pendants. English, 19th century.
Please note they are all slightly different as handblown, not produced exactly in moulds.
These were bought from a church and had been hanging as electrified lights from the mid 20th century or earlier. Presumably they recycled their hanging oil lamps when the church received an electric supply.

They can be custom rewired in flex length / colour of choice.
Chain (solid patinated brass chain shown in photos) can be supplied in any length if required. Could also be wire hung or hung with flex and cordgrip only.
Priced individually.
Dimensions in inches/cm;
All approx 14"/35.5cm diameter and 8.5"/22cm tall.
Weigh between 1.25 and 1.4kg.
One slightly large similar shade also available (see separate page / ad).

WWW.HAES.CO.UK

Edward Haes has been dealing in architectural elements and antiques for the past 20 years, initially sourcing most of his stock from disused public buildings and demolition sites.  Some of his architectural pieces can be found on The Hoarde.

He enjoyed the social history of these places and wishes all his later purchases could have the same perfect provenance.

He continues to buy a diverse range of antiques, with a speciality in lighting, mainly from the UK and sells to dealers, commercial and private clients. He is happy to “tune in” to customers projects and help advise on selecting  the correct pieces.  You can also find some of Haes other items on the Decorative Collective website as well.

Viewings are welcome by appointment only.
