A vintage floor standing medical lamp by Ergon in original paint.Could possibly be used as a table lamp in the right place as it is not very big.
In excellent condition. This has been taken apart, fully cleaned and polished and rewired using the original porcelain and brass lampholder, 4 metres of dust grey fabric flex and a traditional hard plastic plug.
The original label (some losses to it) reads ERGON British Made.
Good quality chromed brass fittings with heavy duty aluminium shade and a circular stepped cast iron base. Approx 1940s-50s.
A useful size and fully adjustable (see photos) The main stem doesn't extend .The height and reach adjusts with the horizontal counterbalanced shade arm.
Dimensions in inches/cms;
Max height is 46"/117cms ( with arm extended and pointing upwards )
Minimum height is 31"/79cms
Height to the top of the central stem joint is 28.5"/72cms
Shade diameter is 12.75"/32.5cms.(base is 9"/23cms diameter)
Max width approx 24"/60cms.

Edward Haes has been dealing in architectural elements and antiques for the past 20 years, initially sourcing most of his stock from disused public buildings and demolition sites.  Some of his architectural pieces can be found on The Hoarde.

He enjoyed the social history of these places and wishes all his later purchases could have the same perfect provenance.

He continues to buy a diverse range of antiques, with a speciality in lighting, mainly from the UK and sells to dealers, commercial and private clients.
