A trio ( several more also available) of large antique Holophane prismatic light shades in turquoise / blue with the original Holophane 2 part galleries,hooks and ceramic lampholders.
The turquoise prismatic glass is etched to the inside so has a matt finish and is very crisply moulded. I believe the idea of the colour was to help shift the colour of the outputted light more towards daylight. Photos show them lit with a traditional (2700k) warm bulb and a slightly cooler (4200k) bulb; both transmitting a cooler light than if through clear glass.
All complete. The galleries have been cleaned, polished and waxed and retain some paint.
They also have an earthing point so the original lampholders can be used.
The shades are also marked around the rim; " HOLOPHANE 531 PATD 1910 No 28182 ENGLAND "
Please note these shades have always been one piece (no glass covers)
Dimensions in inches/cms;
10.25"/25.5cms max diameter by 12"/30.5 tall including galleries.
2.2kg each.
Supplied with 1 meter fabric flex and chain (as photoed- either black or bright jack chain).
I have other similar fittings available. Some of these can also be supplied with the original cast iron hooked ceiling plates and wooden pattresses at extra cost (work involved in restoring).
Priced individually.

Edward Haes has been dealing in architectural elements and antiques for the past 20 years, initially sourcing most of his stock from disused public buildings and demolition sites.  Some of his architectural pieces can be found on The Hoarde.

He enjoyed the social history of these places and wishes all his later purchases could have the same perfect provenance.

He continues to buy a diverse range of antiques, with a speciality in lighting, mainly from the UK and sells to dealers, commercial and private clients. He is happy to “tune in” to customers projects and help advise on selecting  the correct pieces.  You can also find some of Haes other items on the Decorative Collective website as well.
