Stunning French glazed vinegar pot with spout. Dating from the mid 19th century. Glazed both inside and out; 3 handles (2 broken) and a (damaged) spout suggest this was used to store a liquid such as vinegar. A hole has been drilled to the base, making this lovely olive green pot ideal for planting up in the garden.

HAIRSINES, the story so far ...

Once upon a time, a chef and a book editor fell in love and married. They bought a small house and filled it with some children.

One day, their big bad wolf-employers were getting on their nerves so they decided to leave them alone in the forest, and began to work together, instead of apart.

Soon, the (former) chef and the (former) editor were visiting French brocantes and vide greniers sourcing beautiful decorative antiques and selling them to customers across the world.

Then one day, it suddenly occurred to them; they had magically transformed into antique dealers, making their own decisions and shaping new ideas based on a shared passion for history, quality design and pleasing aesthetics.

They are the HAIRSINES, and the five of them continue to live very happily in a quiet Cambridgeshire village.

Their story continues.
