Roy Gamlin, a very well executed and detailed pencil and watercolour drawing of a 'Cowgirl' with a thrush sitting on her shoulder.

Roy Gamlin is known for painting ornithological subjects and this appears to be a 'tongue in cheek' reference to birds!, no doubt infused with some hidden meanings such as the tromp l'oil folded note with the artist's telephone number 'pinned' in the top left hand corner.

Signed and dated '98 lower left. In original glazed frame.

85cm x 70cm max (image size 50cm x 41cm)

With a lifelong passion for the subject, Lisa has worked in the word of art and antiques for over 25 years.  Sixteen of these were spent as a Director of an Auctioneers in London before moving to South West France with her husband Marc Allum to restore a rambling 17th Century Chateau, which they used as base to host art and antique holidays.
After returning to the UK in 2012, Hand of Glory was born, offering an eclectic mix of antiques, objects and.... in the words of John Tradescant; 'anything strang (sic)'
In addition to running Hand of Glory, Lisa also writes for various magazines.
