1950s Oak Chairs by Webber Furniture in Croydon

HEIRLOOMS by LAWRENCE
A very nice architectural set of solid oak chairs by Webber Furniture of Croydon, London. These chairs are from the 1950s and have an appealing golden oak color with a waxed finish.
They do have knocks, marks, scuffs and chips but are good and solid.
There form is unusual and has a tapering to the whole construction with carvings to the front legs.

Webber Furniture was founded by David Frank Webber in 1919 producing predominantly oak furniture, the company continues today and s in the same family. During the second world war furniture production halted as they were required to produce items for the ministry of defense such as molds for the Mulberry Harbours used in the D.Day landings, bomb casings and ammunition boxes.
