A decorative hat block on a turned wooden stand.
The hat block is made up of segments of pine and probably dates to circa 1920, it suits on an attractive turned wooden stand, which probably dates earlier than the hat block.
The hat block measures approx 27 cm (10 1/2 ins) high (including stand), with a width of approx 16 cm (6 1/4 ins) and a depth of approx 18 cm (7 ins).
It is in good condition, with marks as would be expected. Some old sign of worm, as is often the case with hat blocks, this is no longer active, but has been treated again as an added precaution.
If you require any further information or photos, please get in touch.

Based in Kent, I have been trading for over 15 years, starting off at the local fairs, but now mainly trading online via Twitter and Instagram, at Detling Antiques Fair and out of Chart Sutton Antiques Centre in Kent.

My main problem is that I like so many areas in the antiques and collectable world, I therefore deal in everything from the traditional items such as Georgian and Victorian silver and small furniture, to decorative items and lighting, along with the odd and weird.

One of the best things about the job is that you just never know what you may come across next.

I am always happy to provide as much information as I possibly can regarding any item, so please if you see anything of interest or you just have a general query or question, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
