Item Description
This Belgian film poster for 'A Perilous Journey', aka 'Cargo De Femmes' (Belgian French title) or 'Vrouwen Cargo' (Belgian Flemmish title) dates to the film's release in 1953. I've never watched 'A Perilous Journey' nor do I intend to, but the design of this poster is just superb! Fantastically 'of the period' illustration combined with vibrant colours - a real work of art. This poster was printed in Belgium and the stamp is present (as you'd hope to find on all authentic Belgian posters of the period). It's survived the decades in decent order, there's a little yellowing of the paper and some staining (probably glue) along the top edge along with a small nick / loss in the lower right but generally it's vibrant and punchy and displays beautifully. It has been professionally framed and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures 51.5cm high x 37.5cm wide. UK Mainland P&P would cost £10.
