Here is a really beautiful bakelite office/school clock made by Smiths. Made in Britain in the 1950s. The deep bakelite case has been cleaned and polished and has a lovely warm shime, there is no damage. The dial is not damaged, but shows overall foxing. The logo and numerals remain crisp. There is just a little pitting to the classic Smiths hands. The original glass shows very minor wear commensurate with wear.

Overall dia 29cm, depth 7cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.

All my clocks are originals. Typically post-war, they are sourced from around the UK and throughout Europe, both old West and former Eastern Block countries.

All the clocks are fitted with high quality battery quartz mechanisms that are reliable, accurate and fully guaranteed for twelve months.

I am a professionally trained restorer. I have been providing customers with period restored clocks with replaced mechanisms, giving the authentic style with worry-free reliability for over 30 years. Every clock that I sell is restored by me, and I take pride in selling clocks with a high standard of finish.

All clocks are hand-restored using traditional methods. Each clock I acquire differs depending upon the severity of the neglect it has suffered. I personally restore each clock to ensure that it is back to its former beauty, whilst retaining the individual character it has acquired over time.
