This modest factory clock is a really lovely piece. Made in the early 1980s in England by Synchronome and featuring the classic font design of Colin Banks. The spun aluminium case is in good, clean order throughout with a couple of marks and scratches. Nothing too serious and I have left them as found as they really add to the character. The dial is nice and bright and all the markings are crisp and distinctive. The hands show a little wear. The original glass shows a little wear, commensurate with its age.

Overall diameter 30.5cm, depth 7.5cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.

Dimensions:

  • H: 30.5cm (12.01in)
  • W: 30.5cm (12.01in)
  • D: 7.5cm (2.95in)

Period:

1980s

All my clocks are originals. Typically post-war, they are sourced from around the UK and throughout Europe, both old West and former Eastern Block countries.

All the clocks are fitted with high quality battery quartz mechanisms that are reliable, accurate and fully guaranteed for twelve months.

I am a professionally trained restorer. I have been providing customers with period restored clocks with replaced mechanisms, giving the authentic style with worry-free reliability for over 30 years. Every clock that I sell is restored by me, and I take pride in selling clocks with a high standard of finish.

All clocks are hand-restored using traditional methods. Each clock I acquire differs depending upon the severity of the neglect it has suffered. I personally restore each clock to ensure that it is back to its former beauty, whilst retaining the individual character it has acquired over time.
