Something a little more unusual. This clock was made by Smiths under the English Clock Systems branding. This model dates from the later 1960s. The spun aluminium case is in pretty good order overall. It is not perfectly rund as I suspect it was packed badly at some point and got a little warped. There is no damage but some light wear and some pitting. The dial is clean overall with minor wear. There is just a little pitting to the hands. The original glass shows minor wear commensurate with its age.

Overall diameter 35.5cm, depth 10cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.

Dimensions:

  • H: 35.5cm (13.98in)
  • W: 35.5cm (13.98in)
  • D: 10cm (3.94in)

Period:

1960s

All my clocks are originals. Typically post-war, they are sourced from around the UK and throughout Europe, both old West and former Eastern Block countries.

All the clocks are fitted with high quality battery quartz mechanisms that are reliable, accurate and fully guaranteed for twelve months.

I am a professionally trained restorer. I have been providing customers with period restored clocks with replaced mechanisms, giving the authentic style with worry-free reliability for over 30 years. Every clock that I sell is restored by me, and I take pride in selling clocks with a high standard of finish.

All clocks are hand-restored using traditional methods. Each clock I acquire differs depending upon the severity of the neglect it has suffered. I personally restore each clock to ensure that it is back to its former beauty, whilst retaining the individual character it has acquired over time.
