This is a stunning clock. Far fewer clocks were made with these large octagonal cases than the usual round cases. This model is dated on the reverse March 1955 and has Post Office provenance. The heavy bakelite case is in absolutely superb condition considering it’s nearly 70 years old. It has been hand polished to a lovely warm lustre. The dial has aged to an pale ivory colour and shows a little pitting in places and some wear around the centre. The hands are in good condition.

All my clocks are originals. Typically post-war, they are sourced from around the UK and throughout Europe, both old West and former Eastern Block countries.

All the clocks are fitted with high quality battery quartz mechanisms that are reliable, accurate and fully guaranteed for twelve months.

I am a professionally trained restorer. I have been providing customers with period restored clocks with replaced mechanisms, giving the authentic style with worry-free reliability for over 30 years. Every clock that I sell is restored by me, and I take pride in selling clocks with a high standard of finish.

All clocks are hand-restored using traditional methods. Each clock I acquire differs depending upon the severity of the neglect it has suffered. I personally restore each clock to ensure that it is back to its former beauty, whilst retaining the individual character it has acquired over time.
