Capercaillie is a woodland grouse native to Scotland known for its extensive mating ritual wherein the male displays its tail feathers. The display has been captured well on this taxidermy shield dated 1940. The condition is very good throughout and it displays well hanging 25 cm high.

Lost Property represents the fine city of Norwich in the heart of East Anglia and has been trading there since 2010. For Lost Property, trading antiques and vintage is the fine line walked between artistry and commerce, feast or famine. It’s the bittersweet tug of wanting to hold onto something forever, but knowing you have to let it go. The Lost Property ‘eye’ focuses on the functional and the decorative with a rebellious slant towards the crude and imperfect.
