Wooden Chinese `Swan` bucket dating to in or around the 1970`s. This is actually a great little design, the beautiful natural form of a nesting swan lending itself to the most utilitarian of objects. The bucket is carried by grasping the beak, so simple. It is said that in China these were used as babies baths.
The varnish finish is original to the piece and is coming away in places. It could be revarnished although I have left it as found.

Lost Property represents the fine city of Norwich in the heart of East Anglia and has been trading there since 2010. For Lost Property, trading antiques and vintage is the fine line walked between artistry and commerce, feast or famine. It’s the bittersweet tug of wanting to hold onto something forever, but knowing you have to let it go. The Lost Property ‘eye’ focuses on the functional and the decorative with a rebellious slant towards the crude and imperfect.
