Lifelike hand colored plaster mannequin head which came originally from a War Museum. This expressive face shows considerable skill in its making and runs a range of emotions which are hard to quantify. There is something in the droop of the mouth, almost a scowl. The clenched but slightly raised eyebrows expressing an anger which must be contained, the glass eyes which have seen it all. The mood changes as your eye moves across the model, sometimes heroic, sometimes baleful. All seem to express what many of us will hopefully never know. This is a free standing piece and as such displays very well and will guarantee strong reactions.

Lost Property represents the fine city of Norwich in the heart of East Anglia and has been trading there since 2010. For Lost Property, trading antiques and vintage is the fine line walked between artistry and commerce, feast or famine. It’s the bittersweet tug of wanting to hold onto something forever, but knowing you have to let it go. The Lost Property ‘eye’ focuses on the functional and the decorative with a rebellious slant towards the crude and imperfect.
